JAI $ is the newest to rise from the Greater Seattle Area. As a multi-cultural, first generation college graduate, she continues to pave the way for women of color who yearn to be who they are in the most unapologetic way. As the grand-daughter of Alice and John Young, music has always been apart of her culture. Since before her birth she was raised in a Christian church founded by her family and watched as her elders sung the gospel. It wasn't until her last year at Loyola University until she realized that creating music was her passion too. Since living in 3 different cities by the age of 23, JAI $ brings many different types of energy or what she likes to call "vibes" to her music. Her lyrics are confident, bouncy, unique, raw, but most importantly for everyone.
